But unfortunately, most of the people do not care about these common dental problems as these problems do not show very big issues in our routine life. By following some simple steps and methods we can protect ourselves from these diseases.

Although most of the disease does not show a major effect in routine life after a time period the situation may become worse. So treating these common dental problems or diseases as early as possible is the best method for prevention from major diseases and even surgeries.

The good news is that most of the common dental problems or diseases are preventable at early stages by some simple and easy methods. Most of the diseases are preventable at home by brushing twice a day, flossing daily and eating food properly.

It is commonly produced due to Gum diseases, Oral cavity diseases such as oral cancers and also due to bacterial infections. Usage of mouthwashes and toothpaste may reduce the bad breath smell but for chronic disease, one must visit a dentist clinic for treatment of the Halitosis i.e Bad Breath.It is one of the most common dental problems.

Tooth Decay:

Tooth Decay which is commonly known as cavities is one of the most common dental diseases in the United States. It may occur when starch, (food containing starch or sugar i.e chocolates, etc) is combined with plaque, Which produces acids that cause damage to the enamel of the tooth.

It has been observed that it commonly occurs to children because they mostly eat sweets and chocolates but it can occur at any age to any person. Sometimes dryness of the mouth due to medication can also cause tooth decay.

Some cardiologists say that periodontal disease has a connection with cardiovascular disease as it is an infectious disease. So infection may spread towards the cardiovascular system as well.

It occurs more frequently to the adult having age over 30 years. The major risk factors are smoking, DIabetes and Dry mouth.

The symptoms are halitosis i.e bad breath, swelling with tenderness, bleeding through gums, Pain during chewing, the sensitivity of the teeth.

Sore Mouth:

Sore Mouth may occur normally. So one should worry about a sore mouth if it lasts more than two weeks. If it lasts less than two weeks it may be normally conditioned. Usually, it does not last more than two weeks but it may last for several weeks. 

Sore mouth commonly occurs due to aphthous ulcer which is commonly known as canker sore which may be defined as a sore mouth inside not the lips.

It is not a dangerous or risky disease if it does not last for more than two weeks. Which can be risky if not treated at early stages.

Another type of sore mouth is Fever blister which is commonly known as a cold sore which occurs due to viral infection of Herpes simplex virus. Which occurs at the upper border of the lips. They are risky and it cannot be cured completely.

Sore Mouth is also seen in the fungal infection that is due to oral thrush which is commonly known as Candidiasis due to its cause which is a yeast known as Candida. It commonly occurs in immunocompromised persons or when someone uses antibiotics for a longer period. 

It can be prevented by using mouthwashes and toothbrushes which reduces these conditions. Furthermore one must visit the dental clinic for complete treatment.

Oral Cancer:

Oral cancer is serious and a deadly disease that occurs commonly in persons who use more to chew betel. It is also found in persons who are addicted to smoking or drinking. The Oral Cancer foundation of the United States says that in the United States in every hour one person dies due to oral cancer.

It is commonly seen in aged people having age above 40 but may occur at any age. 

The biggest risk factors are chewing betel, Tobacco, smoking, and drinking. It also occurs due to HPV viral infection which may transfer by sexual intercourse.

Symptoms are the sore mouth, lumps formation in mouth and roughness of some mouth areas.

Oral cancer is a medically critical condition one must visit the dental clinic for treatment.

Avoiding betel chewing, tobacco chewing, smoking and drinking may reduce the risk of oral cancer. Betel chewing and smoking are the most common cause of oral cancer.

Gum Bleeding:

Gum bleeding occurs most frequently due to inadequate plaque removal. As plaque can cause Gums swelling from where the gum bleeding may occur.

It commonly occurs during brushing and flossing due to irritation and inflammation. Which commonly occurs due to gingivitis i.e inflammation of the gums.

Gingivitis is a painless condition and bleeding from the gums may be the only symptom for the diagnosis of gingivitis. 

Brushing twice a day with fluoride-containing toothpaste may prevent the Gum bleeding. But one must visit the dental clinic for furthermore treatment.

Tooth Erosion:

It may be defined as a loss of tooth structure due to an acid attack on the enamel of the tooth. Its signs are sensitive from cold and hold to some severe problems such as cracking of the tooth. The tooth erosion is a common condition and can easily be prevented.

By brushing twice a day with fluoride-containing kinds of toothpaste and by flossing the risk of tooth erosion can be reduced.

Sensitivity to Hot and Cold:

Sensitivity to Hot and Cold is commonly known as sensitivity. There are a lot of people infected with this problem. Sensitivity occurs when people eat cold ice creams or drinks, cold drinks or hot drinks which produce pain or discomfortable conditions. 

In some people, it occurs due to the brushing or flossing of the tooth. 

It is commonly considered as a sign for cracked tooth or tooth abscess. Which is treated by the dentist only. If Sensitivity persists for the longer period it may cause infection to the jaw bone or may cause tooth loss.

A toothache may have different reasons such as any trauma or any other disease. It is considered a dental emergency which is very painful and scary. Commonly it requires urgent treatments, it may occur due to tooth abscess, broken tooth or cracked tooth.

The best treatment is possible at a dental hospital or clinic which may reduce toothache and can eradicate the causing factors of the toothache. It may be occurred due to any fractures so one must visit the hospitals as soon as possible to be treated properly.

Gum swelling:

The most common cause of gum swelling is gingivitis. It commonly occurs due to poor oral hygiene as a result plaque is formed on the tooth forming a line. Where bacteria can grow easily which causing the infection of the gums which produces the swelling of the Gums.
